But that doesn’t mean you’re weak willed — it may be a condition known as gambling disorder. If you continue gambling, it can become harder to stop and it may lead to more severe symptoms.
The Ibaraki Prefectural Mental Health and Welfare Center offers individual consultations about gambling disorder. On the fourth Monday of each month, they also hold a family education program for the families of those affected.
Gambling disorder is treatable. You don’t have to struggle all by yourself , and your family doesn’t have to struggle alone. Please contact the center first for a consultation.
